Everyone loves videogames but most players haven’t got a clue how it all started, well that’s about to change if your that type of guy who is to lazy to read about history on wikipedia and you are more of a visual dude than Kyle Downes created an entirely animated 3D piece called “A Short Visual History of Videogames”.

It is a 3 minute long “visual essay”  about the history of videogame consoles, from 1972 when Ralph Baer invented the Odyssey with Bob Tremblay, to the launch of the current generation of consoles and beyond. So before hitting play pause your game console switch off your phone and pay attention this is a must see for every gaming fan.

Totally fails to mention PC gaming which may not sell so many games as the consoles but that provides most of the innovation in hardware and software development.
